Idle going up and down like clockwork.
Just when I have my 85 3.2 running well with no more bucking or hesitate, after car is all warmed up and got the idle moves up a few revolutions then back down to normal about every two seconds. Like on a timer! Weird. I hate to mess with anything. If I lower the basic idle will that mess with the setting on the AFM? So it’s not really hunting, just going up and down in the very same places on tack .

Nick - check your idle stop adjustment. This is the set screw on the front of the throttle linkage, mine did this after the clutch install. Could also be that your cruise control cable is holding it up to returning to idle, or your springs are tired. I would try those before adjusting the basic idle. There are a lot of mechanical fidgety things that have a great impact and more likely than you car suddenly has changed due to AFM.
