Paint Code Needed

Hi All, Does anyone know what the Porsche paint code is for 2007 Mexico Blue? I believe it's a special order color.

Thanks,

Pioneer Porsche (San Diego) had 2 cars on the lot recently in that color. Call them up.

there is no color called mexico blue . what is it on ? cay. box. cam. ???? porshce has 5 blues for the year of 2007 . you will find the color codes in 3 places one would be under hood rear wall . door jam left side trunk fire wall . look for an L then 39c or 3c8 or a5g or d5q or m5w .

It might be called something different now. I was referring to a 1973 color, Mexico blue. But it shouldn't be too difficult to solve this mystery......just call a dealership.
There was also a similar color on 911's called Riviera Blue, IIRC?

Ok, guys. I just talked to a friend at Pioneer Centres and he told me that the 2 cars were indeed Mexico blue. However, they were special ordered and were referred to as a "vintage" color choice.

This Car was in the used car section of South Bay BMW on PCH in Manhattan Beach, CA:

2007 Porsche Turbo AWD 3.6L turbo custom “Mexico Blue” paint, CODE?

Is there any way to get the Paint code? I don't have the connections needed to get this info.

VIN: WP0AD29907S786516

Thanks for the responses!

They should be able to get the correct code by looking on the decal in the front trunk. Mexico blue was 336 back in the 1970's.

Thanks, I called my local dealer- parts dept. They said the code for that VIN is L998, but it doesn't list a color name for that code.
I saw this car in person and it doesn't look like the 1970's color Mexico Blue. I asked him if he could find out the color name and the recipe.....he said he would have to call Porsche directly and get back to me. I'll let you know if I find out anything.
Thanks,

mike , when i got to the shop today i did some checking . i did not think that code was good and it was not ! there is no 998 code so i called a frend at porsche of NA with the vin # i got 999 which i was thinking it was . it is still not the paint code but tells you only that its a special order color . i then emailed the info to my frend . he sent it over to porsche HQ . i should hear back in about 4 working days or so . i will keep you posted .

i would disregard that link to 911c1 color info . its way out of date first it ends at 2003 and its 2009 . 2nd if you add up the number of paint codes there are only 155 blue listed when from the years 1956 to 2003 there are 178 color blue paint codes . if you include the blues up to 2009 then there are 193 blue paint codes . when i did the research for the color mike was posting about . i researched it with porsche and with BASF the two of them sent me the paint info stating that the color name is oslo blue with color code #LZ77 for that 2007 porsche with that vin #

I just wanted to take a moment to thank 962porsche for his generosity and extreme knowledge of Porsche Paints (and his connections with those corporate folks, too). He mixed up a small batch of this LZ77 "Oslo Blue" and sent the paint chip to me in the mail! It's dead nuts on target with the '07 Turbo pictured above. Just another awesome example of the generosity and knowledge that resides on this fine Pelican Board! Thank you, too, Wayne!

I was thinking of M stripes but I don't know where they would go or how the configuration would look good. I don't have any side views right now (I'm at work), but here are a few more...
