1981 911SC Rust Help Needed
I am in the midst of rebuilding the motor and decided to tackle the body rust issues while I await parts. The car i s the 911SC euro model and the body is in good shape except in two areas; the front drivers side inner fender and drivers side rear engine compartment inner fender.
Front inner fender: ![]() Rear Engine Compartment: ![]() Both areas are rusted through. I am not a body man and believe the best solution is to purchase replacement panels. Are these panels available? and if so where? What would you suggest? I am not a body person but have some experience mig welding (but not body panels). Thanks in advance, your feedback is greatly appreciated! |

Best to get patch panels. A good place to look are the classifieds right here on Pelican. Put a WTB add showing the areas you need. Should be able to get them fairly cheap. That left side is going to take a little work. The right side doesn't look real bad. You wont know until you really dig in there and look around.

I have a patch panel for the front trunk area. I'd like to get $100 for it plus shipping. Drop me a PM or email if your interested.
