Finally done!
After two years, it's painted and back on the road. Two years ago I parked the car to rebuild the engine. Well....why not change the headliner? The dash crack needs to be fixed, new carpet would be nice, brake lines, restored wheels, etc. etc. And with all that work being done, it sure is a shame to put it back on with cracked and crazed clearcoat. Why not paint it?
With the help of Freddie's threads, this forum, and a couple other sites, I got it done. 936 Silver Mettalic is a PITA. It's the original color so I figured I'd do it the same. I've never painted a car and 936 is a tough intro. Mistakes abound, but that's ok. It just means I can drive the wheels off and not worry about the paint. In a few years I'll be doing it again, better, and most likely changing to Mexico Blue, or Gulf Blue, or.... ![]() ![]()
