Thanks!! Is the Limco good in the sun and humidity we have here in Florida? I drive my car year round since the weather is always sunny here. Do you have a certain primer you would recommend?

i would and do not every mix deferent products . pick a paint system and use all the products in that system from bottom to top .
so you will beable to use every thing that is in the limco line . what we use in the rab/race shop are . lp20 etch primer 800K filler primer you can also use the 800k mixed 1 to 1 as a tinted sealer lays down great . then limco supreme plus single stage or base with the limco 4100 clear what i like about the limco line is just by changing out the mixing clear (binders) the 1399 for base colors or the 1299 for single stage colors it makes the system very user friendly also because cars like porsche use BASF limco is a very good color match on them . so like the other BASF product lines if you want to see the color and how it matches 1st before you spend time doing spray out you can go to the color decks and see real spray out with real paint right from BASF them selfs . because basf already does the spray outs of there or most of there colors it save the shops 1000's of dollars a year on time and product they would be have to do it them selfs . that is one big reason i picked BASF systems to put on my shops . |

You REALLY, REALLY need to get your facts striaght before you spew things like this. And you wonder why you have run ins with folks here, (me included). Lamborghini uses PPG paints for their beautiful cars. If you'd like I'll post a link for you to read. BMW did use, may still, and I could find out if you'd like, uses PPG powder clearcoat on their 5 & 7 series. The first automobile manufacturer to do so. I'm not going to waste any more time verifying the other OEMs you state. I will say this also. Harley Davidson uses PPG products on ALL their motorcycles, pre-treatment, electrocoat, powdercoat, basecoats & cleacoats. We all know you have a love affair with BASF just don't lie about their usage.

Still not sure what you are asking. I read thru the entire thread, (glanced over most of it), and still didn't see what you are referencing. Please use the quote function and hopefully I can answer your question.
I will say one thing. OMG, 962 spews garbage concerning the paint companies. Anyone can quote mix ratios, primers needed etc. But to push people towards the paint company he likes and trash the others is wrong. I'll say this, AND IT IS FACT... PPG is the worlds leading OEM automotive supplier in the world period. No if's and's or but's, fact not conjecture, not internet horse hockey. I've called him out on this before and he had no answer. I hate seeing people change their minds because this guy talks gibberish. Sorry for the rant, his lying just pisses me off.

OK Smoker I found what you meant. I think what he means is you shouldn't spray water-borne paints without controlling atmospherical conditions, @ temperature & humidity. You can but it is tricky.
