Touching up Fuchs lug nuts

My Fuchs are in great shape but the lug nuts have some chips from PPI and new tire mounting.

What is the hot tip for touching up black lug nuts?

I have heard that a black sharpie does a good job. Never tried it though. For a buck or two it is probably worth a try.

Yep, the Sharpe is the ticket. I have colored in many of lugs for a quick clean up.
Also, I don't go anywhere without my Soft Socket. My local tire guy hates when I come in, I wont let him put my car on his lift (flat bottom type) I make him jack my car using the jack pads (late style the fit into the bottom of the car) and ask him to remove/install the lugs by hand, no air gun.
Yes Im a little anal, but we all have seen what can happen when you leave your car at the shop and let them have their way with it. My ex alignment guy got a 100 plus speeding ticket on a rainy day in my 911 a few years back. Needless to say they got an ear full, a call to the owner and lost my business.

Try a Testor's paint pen, works great on touching up sheet metal...

Don't let your tire shop remove/remount your wheels.

They don't care about your lugs. After they get done with them, you won't care either.

Get a set of used lugs and put them on prior to taking the car to the tire shop.

Porsche has a factory soft socket. I believe the tool is P-1800
I have one however prefer to use a thin wall 6 point 3/8" drive socket. I use an adapter 3/8" to 1/2" for the torque wrench.

The lugs can actually be re anodized.

I haven't tried the powder paint yet.

I agree with the group regarding tire shops. Simply, I take the wheels off the car and take them in another vehicle to my favorite tire shop. The shop is well advised on my demands regarding TLC with the Fuchs prior to any tire dismount/mount,etc.
