I it possible to re-use a rear windshield seal?

As I'm having my rear decklid on my 97 coupe painted and former tail mounting holes filled I'd like to address shrunken rear windshield trim that has lead to a wide gap @ the center. I posted here: How to install rear windshield center trim ? Required for watertightness?

I'd like the body experts opinions...

I plan on buying new trim - but can the rear seal be reused if its in good shape? My body man said yes...but his glass specialist was not there.
Does the 911 have a pretty typical seal / glass / trim arrangement? In other words is this a job you'd trust to a competent glass man with no particular Porsche expertise? The general arrangement doesn't look that different than other sports cars from the era so my feeling is yes, but I'd appreciate opinions.

any good glass person can install any glass on any car .
the glass on porsche's are not bad to do for the most part the only glass many glass installer will not do is MGB front glass and porsche rear targa glass .
as for the glass seals yes you can use them if they are in good shape .

I am just redoing mine now because I used a new one that sat in a box for 7 years and didn't seal. For the hassle, risk and minimal cost, I wouldn't use an old one
