How to make seats slide again

What is the secret to getting the seats to slide again. The driver side is the worst, basically needed a powerjack or jaws of life to get any motion.

My wife doesn't want to strap on a pair of stilts to drive so

any help would be appreciated.

I'm just throwing this out there, with out much actual "seat knowledge", but have you tried greasing/oiling the rails? What condition is the car in? If the interior is in so-so shape, maybe there's some corrosive build-up?

I would try WD-40 (to get things loose but not as a long term lubricant), take the seats right out, and have a look at what your dealing with.

Hope that gives you a start. Didn't mean to sound "fresh", but thought I'd help since no one's replied.

Let me know how it goes.

356 Seats adjustment

If you haven't tried yet, at the back of the seat there are to metal tabs that are probably bent down to far. Take your seats out and bend them up a bit. Also the distance at the front of the rail and the rear should be the same, right down this measurement just in case it gets worse. You would have to unbolt the rails near the door sill to make the adjustment, there is plenty of play.
