Solex Float levels

Hi i am about to set the float levels on my S90 sloex carbs on the bench, How do you simulate the fuel pump pressure ?
I have heard that you run a tube up the wall to add a head of pressure?
has anyone set these carbs on the bench that can shine some light
Thanks John

You might want to contact Jim at the above site for more specifc info.

What I know is that float level is dependent on fuel quality. I've only done the float level adjustment with the carbs mounted on the car and hooked up to the fuel lines. Pull the coil wire, crank the car over to fill the float bowls, open the inspection port, adjust the float as needed and repeat until you get it right.
