This is out of the bottom of the FPR. Is this what you are trying to get off?

Edit: It might be easier for you to leave that piece on and take off the bracket along with the regulator and the above line. In which case you would have to follow/feel your return line to the bracket. I think it's a combo of a 17 and a 15.

If it's the j hose at the bottom you're dealing with, the thing to do is to disconnect it from the left fuel rail and from the line in back (if you really need to... maybe not) Take the two screws out of the bracket holding it, then lift it up so you can see what you're doing. I was going to skip that hose when I replaced the lines a couple months ago, but found out it's not too bad to deal with if you can lift it up once disconnected from the fuel rail. You can't take that line off without seeing it IMO.

Thanks for the suggestions....I thought about undoing bracket that the FPR is attached to but it looked like it was part of the left fuel rail....I will look again...still would be like to know the size of that nut on bottom of FPR that holds it to that bracket.

If you're talking about the nut on the J shaped hose, (other end is clamped), that nut is 17mm

Nope....the nut on bottom of fuel pressure regulator which holds the regulator to the bracket...the j hose slides onto the nipple fitting that extends out from the bottom of FPR through the threaded shaft that the nut screws onto

I do not remember the size myself, but this is the FPR in question.......

Sorry, but I never did remove the FPR from its bracket. Just disconnected the left and right lines as shown in Len's picture, then lifted it up after (I think taking off a couple of 10mm bolts) so I could get to the J hose. I'm thinking if you lift the assembly up after disconnecting it you'll be able to see what you're doing quite easily.

Ok....I may try that approach, didn't really want to mess with that j hose due to its cost if you screw it up ($150)...thanks

AS I recall, it has been awhile but I think it is 24MM.

Best way to get to it is do a partial drop and go in between the engine tin, this is the only way to get leverage short of engine drop. There is basically zero room with engine in.

... or just unhook it from the left fuel rail & detach the bracket from the case & lift it up. This presumes you've taken off the heater blower, duct work & the rail holding the connections for the speed, reference & CHT sensors so you can actually see what you're doing. That stuff's been taken off, right?

Yep...blower, ductwork and 3 sensor bracket are off.....the plan now is to remove j hose ( more room), then bracket....thinking positive...carpe diem...I really don't want to do engine drop...thanks again, I let you guys know how turns out.

If you've disconnected the FRP from the one fuel rail and the line that heads to the fuel damper on other side of engine, then your next step is to remove the FRP and the bracket assembly in one piece with the j-hose attached (the j-hose attaches to the FRP and bracket so comes out easily as a complete unit). One off the engine, you can easily remove the j-hose and then have access to the nut on bottom of the FRP. These steps are outlined in a few DIYs on replacing the fuel lines, as one of those is the j-hose. I did this a few months back and was straight forward.

RLJett's right on... shouldn't be a problem once it's disconnected & you can lift it up to see what you're going.

So just to be clear...I will also need to take loose j tube at nut end...return line to engine. This sound more manageable.....stay tuned.

I was able to remove and replace mine using a 24mm crows foot on a short extension. Did not have to do a partial engine drop.

Followed Jett's advice...disconnected fuel return line at bracket, three small bolts on bracket...already had other two fuel lines loose, and the FPR with bracket and j hose attached all came out easily. Only messed with 24 mm nut on the work bench. Bracket is thin metal so I left j hose attached in baracket just nut and hose clamp and slid old FPR out and new FPR in. Thank to all for all the help and picture.
One last question ... FPR not marked intake or output...i assume either end either way is okay ?

Disregard last question....had a brain freeze...it's a pressure regulator.....both are fuel lines incoming for pressure sensing
