Hi everyone, Chris Collier here,
Just wanted to take a moment and conduct a poll: From the link below, you can see that I have started to tackle my 72 911T project; I will be removing the engine, so that I can remove the cancerous metal, and then install my new donor metal. My question is this: what should I take advantage of while having the motor out? I thought of some of the following: 1) RSR shock reinforcements? Weld in gussets. 2) Scrub engine bay? 3) Repaint engine bay? (any paint suggestions)? 4) ???? 5) ???? I am trying to accomplish things that can only be done while the engine is out. Other things that can be accomplished with the engine in, will be done in the future. Thanks for everyone's input. chris http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/Forum3/HTML/014891.html ------------------ chris collier collier@iglou.com 72 911T stock and ok with that, for now |

Reinforce sway bar mounts (can also be done later, but as long as you have the torch handy).

Change trailing arm bushings, maybe even install aluminum arms, check rear wheel bearings while they are off and replace if needed. Check cv joints and half shafts.
