How to un-epoxy short shifter.
Hoping that maybe someone will recognize the bonding agent used to attach my lever to the Tarett short shifter.
Heat?, Propane, Map? Also thought about Dremel cutting a relief slot into the housing, then heat, twist. I need to separate the two pieces and re-clock to get the two tangs to align correctly. Thanks, Bill K ![]()

Most epoxy will break down with heat. I would think propane would be sufficient.

Heat. a good heat gun might also work. Scrape off the residue while its soft.

a propane torch should do it.
I would weld it back in place with a MIG welder. I had my shifter joint break on the road and it was not pretty.
