as tony has said, the engine/CIS is designed to start from the CSV, thus its name.
injectors not spraying is an easy issue to test and should not take this long resolve. you have flexible lines, makes it even easier. pull out the injectors, put then in a jar, turn on the key and lift the sensor plate. if you are not sure about the mixture, adjust it richer until they start to spray then lean it out until they stop. I am not sure if you said the car will or will not start. your concern seems to be that they don't spray when cranking

Born, Are you aware that you have two (2) decel valves on your motor? Take a closer look at the above picture. Replace one of the DV’s with a good working AAV. Right now you have a good source of unmetered air and I doubt you could make the motor to start at all. Keep us posted. Thanks. Tony |

yea, I was getting frustrated.
my neighbor across the pond was trying to get a truck started. heard it backfire thru the carb. after 2 or 3 times I hollered your dist is in backwards. 5 min later I heard it start up.
