Speedometer wire disconnection
How to disconnect this black cable? I don't want to yank on it and destroy something.

Looks like the ODO reset cable. Might be easier to disconnect on dash (other end).

Is it a pull or twist on the other end?

Most folks disconnect at the dash but you can remove at the gauge as well.
To pull from the gauge. Best to put knife or thin screwdriver under it and gently around it to work it up. This is what it looks like removed. WTB: 911 odometer reset cable Don't just pull by the cable or you will screw it up (hard to come by). Also, don't use pliers on plastic and break it.
