Rear Targa Bar Seal - installation question

Hello,

Should this seal 90156593041 (Rear Targa Bar Seal, rear glass window)

be glued ? And if yes which glue must be used ?

No glue on mine either. Fit was quit snug.

Just finished this job (almost). Will use non-hardening glazing compound between seal and window and between seal and metal after the window settles for a few thousand miles. Wisdom here:
To "Glue" or-not-to "Glue!
and here:
Why windshield trim should be a regular maintenance item.

Except the seal he is talking about is not really the main water tight seal. It's almost a decorative seal / dust seal.
