Engine Stalls with AC

When I come to a stop with the AC on the engine stalls. This only happens with the engine cold, problem disappears when car approaches full operating temp. Could this be a faulty decel valve?

I went to the doctor and said I broke my leg in two places. He said stay out of those places.

Put a golf tee in the skinny hose going to the decel valve and see. Easy peasy.

The decel valve has been eliminated as an issue. Now I am thinking that this car has never had a fast idle at warm-up. It always ran smoothly at 950 rpm immediately after startup even in the dead of winter. Now when I start the car and turn the AC on, the rpm drops 100-150 and at times will oscillate a bit. Does this AC idle problem sound like something with the WUR? I don't have the pressure gauges but am willing to invest if this is worth checking.

Check if AAR is opening when cold.
That is where the extra air comes from during warmup.

Hi Walt..when you come to stop without A/C on the car does not die , right? Only with A/C..that means you are running too rich..check your fuel mixture...

It really depends on what year car/engine, etc. that you have. Perhaps you should share. Since you apparently have AC that works...maybe it is not even a 911.

don't run the AC when cold.

it could need just a slight mixture adjustment.
I would start it up, lift up on the air sensor plate while someone turns on the AC. could be just a little lean. if it is check fuel pressures and check for air leaks.

my 930 is fine at idle and cold. the reason I say is my engine produces less HP at idle than yours does im sure.

you might try bumping the idle up just a tad.

Leaning out the fuel mixture a skosh made a dramatic improvement. As described in some earlier threads I attempted to check the setting by manual pushing and pulling on the throttle plate but evidently the hands of a skilled surgeon may be required for this one.
