Where does everyone host pictures?
I have been using PBase for 100 years…… It works and seems old and a little clunky. What’s everyone using now-a-days? I might switch.

Right on my own computer. I have never been hacked, or had to pay a nickle for the honor of using my own photos.
The Photobucket site suddenly charging people to use their own photos makes me leery.

Hmm…I meant so that you can post them here. I have all my pics in iCloud as I am an apple guy. If you have them on your own computer how do you get an HTTP link to them for boards like Pelican?

Still here
|
If you are referring to pics posted here, then you can simply upload them.
That will preserve the contents as long as this forum is still functional so the photobucket problem can be avoided. |

I upload to imgur and then they give you the BB codes right on the pics to post. free, no watermarks.

Click the big Go Advanced button right next to the post reply. A large window opens and there is a large blue button that says Click Here to Upload pictures. Guess what, just click on that. ![]() Just find the image on your computer and drag and drop, or click on the white box and find the file and click on that. It uploads the file to Pelican. One warning! It HAS to be a .Jpg file. PNG, GIF or other formats don't work. And it has to be under 5MB. Easy Peazy

I also keep all of my photos in a file on my hard drive. When I need to post a photo I frequently need to reduce the size for pelican. I open it in Paint and adjust the pixels to 1200 on the long side and save a copy of the photo for uploading to pelican, they are then easy to upload.
