911sc 3.6 conversion header install

Hey guys I have a quick question on installing headers on a 3.6. I did post this question in the 964/993 thread but I got no replys. My question is the exhaust seals I have are flat on one side and have a slight dome on the other. Does it matter which surface contacts the head and which contacts the header? And is there a trick for keeping the seals in the head so they don't fall out while I install the headers?
Thanks in advance, Jake

If i remember , i put the dome part against the engine and just put a small dab of gasket sealer on the seals , it should hold long enough to get the headers on !
