tire recommendations for %&1/2 x 14 Fuchs ?

I'm finishing a 1966 911 and have a set of 5&1/2 x 14 Fuchs restored and ready.

What sporty tires do ya'll recommend ?

Whats the widest tire that will fit the rim ? 195 ?

I have 15x6 deep sixes on my car and found Yokohama S-Drive tires in 195 55 15 through Tire Rack fit well on the 6" rim. 14" rims is going to be harder. Good luck.

We used to run Falken Azenis on our Datsun with 14's. Toyo makes a 205 14" R888. A friend of mine has several old English Fords and has recently had luck sourcing good 14" street tires from Mexico, the big brands sell different sizes by region and I guess they have more options down there.

I run 5.5x14 Fuchs on my 914/6.

I currently run a set of Falken Azenis RT615K - 195/60-14.
At the time, I also considered the Toyo 205/55-14
On these same rims, over the years, I've run as narrow as a 165 and as wide as a 205.

Going anywhere close to OEM size will get you a tire that will let you truly enjoy the "drive a slow car fast" scenario, and no one will even notice as you drift through corners trying to catch the Camry in front of you
