911 Steel backdate R inspired project by ROCS

Hello fellow Pelicans!

Here is another one of our builds.

This one started out as 1980 911SC and was built all in steel...hand rolled flares front and rear, hand fabricated long nose extensions with R-inspired hand rolled vents as well as modified steel bumpers front and back. You will also notice we grafted in a brand new pre-74 long nose hood latch panel. Lots of trick work and custom fabrication was involved.

We hope you enjoy the journey as depicted in the photo archive as much as we have enjoyed every bit of the build.

Thanks for posting all of these great pictures! Absolutely stunning! What kind/brand of carpet kit did you use? Do you have a picture of how the front belts mount when there is no inner quarter panel covers?

Thank you for the kind words, the carpet is from Bob at Appbiz, here is a pic of the seatbelt retractor as requested. (note that belt is just pushed aside exposing the aluminum guide plate on which it slides)

Really nice car

This is a fantastic car with great attention to detail. I've seen it in person and it blows my mind... or, what's left of my mind.

You really need to see this in person and listen to the engine... Holy Schmidt. What a sound. Post some photos of the motor Rich.

So, I get to blow my own horn and tell you that the color was inspired by a car I wrote about last year in Excellence: The magazine about Porsche... Jerry Charlup's incredible 1957 Carrera Speedster:
Reunion of the Rare | Issue 219 | Excellence

The color is Aqua Marine Blue. Great job Richard.
