Different Type Odometer...??
I'm really in a quandry...odometer hasn't been working, took the speedo apart and found 1) wasn't a stripped worm gear, 2) wasn't a loose pot metal gear, but actually was 3) instead of a pot metal gear mine has a toothless nylon gear. I know you can't get the worm gear replaced (I've read enough on that) but does anyone know if this gear is replaceable...or....more importantly a source??
Bottom Line: Am I hosed? ![]()

Yes, that gear is replaceable but they aint cheap. lowest prive i've found is $40. I have a used one that is not stripped, I'd let it go for $10. The only other alternative is to pay a speedo place $120. Check with Pelican, they MIGHT have a guy that does it for less, I'm not sure.
