trying to find color number

Is this the right forum to ask where the color code is located on a 1969 911E? Is it on the stainless piece under front hood with vin and reads Dr. Ing Ferry Porsche? thanks in advance

It should be stamped on a smallish metal tag that's riveted to the front of the drivers side door jamb, below the light switch and above the check rod.

Found it. Metallic Green. The number above it I presume is the body Number? My paint code is stamped in very bold, the other number I can't even see a trace. One owner car, never painted or had this plate removed. Why is there no number there? Also, what does M8 represent. Thanks guys!!!!

No one be the deal with the “M8”. It is a mystery.

Please post a picture of the plate.

The L at the end indicates the paint was made by Lesonal

You can look at colors here : https://members.rennlist.com/tweedt/glasurit.htm

From 1969 the VIN was not stamped on the paint badge.
The L on the paint code is for Lesonal, the paint supplier.
The M8 may be related to the bolt thread size of the hinge bolts, but why is not known.
