Ignition key problem
Hi,
In as three ocassions I’ve noticed when I try to start the car if it doesn’t start the first few turns I would return the key back to start position which should cut the starter out but instead the starter continues to run. Even removing the key has no effect, once it starts it’s ok . Has anyone seen this problem? Thank you

Key.
You may want to try some lock lubricant.

Chewed up starter ring gear teeth and starter bendix teeth can get stuck together, which holds the solenoid internal contacts together without any need for activation voltage from the key.
