Why is my pressure plate wearing like this?

Is this normal? It looks like only the outer 1" or so of my clutch disc is engaging with the pressure plate. Isn't the entire surface supposed to engage? what would cause this?

Also what is the discoloration telling me on the pressure plate? overheated maybe?

This is from my 3.6 SC transplant with 915 trans. The most recent miles on this equipment were primarily track miles.

For track that ain't bad IMHO. I would think more blue stains if over heating.

Since it is out, out would machine and balance it with Fly wheel. In fact, how is the condition of the fly wheel?

How is the thickness of the clutch pad across the path of the pad, even?

Clutch disc wear is even but if you look closely you can see the discoloration on the disc from where only half of it is engaging. The disc was new so maybe 300 miles on it with 3 track days.

Here is a pic of the flywheel.

wrong size dsic?

I had some hot spots on the flywheel of my 325is. I used 220 sandpaper on something flat to lightly sand the flywheel
