Electrics - need some help

Hi,

I have had my car off the road for approximately a year whilst rust was being attended to. I just got the right hand front guard on and noticed the right front indicators not working. I checked the wiring at the lights and working. Some more troubleshooting showed that I could get them working if I ran a lead from the correct fuse to the lights and then the other one grounded on a bolt. This was good enough to get the car down to the tyre place for a wheel alignment (also replaced most of the front end).
On the way there, I noticed no power windows, no electric mirrors, no horn and no sunroof. The Hazard lights working fine and headlights and brakes too. Also all turn signals bar the front right ones.

From a search of similar posts I saw one that suggested I change the round relay. I grabbed another relay and tried it in each of the slots on the front fuse panel. No luck.

I have checked all fuses when I was troubleshooting the front right indicators.
Thinking it an earth somewhere. I think it an earth from the fusebox but not sure where to look.

any pointers will be approciated

geoff

I was thinking an earth too. When I got my SC there were all sorts of electrical gremlins going on. I cleaned the numerous earths around the car and it's been great ever since. Do some research; but there really is something like half a dozen seperate earth locations. Hoping it is something this simple - good luck.

I had some weird electrical issues and the culprit turned out to be the ignition switch. I replaced it and all was good again, but this may be difficult to test short of replacing it.
