Richard,
Cheers for the offer! I need to get the car back on the road though ASAP or I'm stranded. I was looking at the prices for bigger bars and Pelican has sway away ones at a good price. After spending £700 in the last week though, leaves me kind of skint! It would have been an easier decision to make 2 weeks ago!

if you want to upgrade in the future theres not much point spending good money on new std bars. how about a secondhand one? at least the front are real easy to swap.

Ok, a bit of an update.

T-Bar is snapped.

This morning I tried to remove it but the belly pan is frozen in place! I've managed to sheer off one of the front mounting bolts Are these bolts or is it a stud? What size?

I removed the T-bar cover/adjuster and pulled the piece out.

The picture makes it look worse than it is but there is a fair amount of surface rust on the bar. I'm pretty sure they're the originals.

I've got a new pair on order as it would be a long while before I can afford to upgrade front and rear to 22/28.

Whew! That's some shear alright!

Is the bar stuck in the cap in that picture or no?

Hope you can reuse the cap and the screw. Neither are cheap. (based on cost to size ratio)

No, the bar is just sitting there for the picture. The only damaged part is the forward bolt/stud that holds the belly pan on that I just snapped off this morning. The rest have been WD'd to loosen them up. Hopefull once the pan is off, the other end will come out without too much of a fight!
