It'll never be "done' but this is the closest its ever been!

So I purchased this 1970 911t off bringatrailer summer 2017. I've had vintages cars but this was my first long hood. Local car so I was able to check it out beforehand. I knew it needed work but didn't know how much till I drove it. On its maiden voyage the gas pedal broke off and the brake pedal swung side to side like a windshield wiper! Ran terribly and looked rough. First gear didn't exist. Decided to pull the proverbial bandaid off fast and started dismantling.

Stock engine was given to Chuck Allard in Rockville who did an excellent job. S cams, Weber 40 IDAs. Transmission was shipped to Dr. Evil for rebuilding. Glass out bare metal respray and lots of body work at a local shop called East Coast Restorations. Repainted to original Irish green. Wanted to "add lightness" so I stripped out AC, radio, much of the chrome trim, and anything else I could. Koni shocks and ATS classic wheels from PP classifieds (15x6) with 205/55 rubber. Lots of other work but you get the gist.

There was a point where I didn't think it was all going to work. In the beginning I was spending hours and sometimes days removing seized fasteners. This was my first restoration. Regret set in as I had sold a mint EAG E30 M3 to partially fund this project. Now that its finally complete enough to enjoy, its all worth it. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Thank you to the forum members for answering all my questions over the past year. I'm sure I'll have more. This winter I may tackle the torsion bars and suspension bushings and it needs to be lowered...

This car turned out great. Terrific trim, wheel, and detail choices. You made it your own while keeping it a classic.

Irish Green has never looked so good - beautiful combo with the ATS wheels. Also like how you have the more competitive driver’s side setup. Don’t see that too often.
