Anyone have a REALLY good pic of a mid 80's Targa in Red?
I'm trying to show my wife a picture of the car I'm considering, but all the pictures I've found are horrible. Can anyone point me to a really good high res picture of a mid-80's red/black targa?
Thanks!

SeaDweller:
Not sure which red, though I'm guessing Guards Red. Can only offer Garnet Red Metallic - my '85 Targa:

Wow, that front bumper is very cool. Can you give some specifics...what is it called and who makes it?
Thanks

I saw one today at foriegn cars italia today. I think I can find a pic.
It was kinda strange I walked in yesterday wearing a polo shirt and nice jeans and instantly had someone helping me. Today I came in with a t-shirt, dirty shoes and a slightly ratty pair of jeans on and didn't even get noticed til I got to the parts counter at the back of the place. edit: doh they don't have a picture but here's the desp. http://inventory.autotrader.com/inventory/vehicle_details.jsp?position=35&color=2&car_id=123522008&searchType=preowned&make=any&model=any&toYear=any&fromYear=any&toPrice=999999&fromPrice=0&dealerId=614521

Not really an 80's car - but it sure looks like it!
My priced possession, leaving for Norway in two weeks...

Funny how I never lliked Targa's until really looking at pictures and understanding their lines........I like the idea of having an open air design without having to go completely topless, although I still like cab's!!!!

Sea Dweller:
I wasn't looking for a Targa, but backed into a good deal. I will be one of the first to say that a Coupe has the best lines, but when it comes to driving enjoyment, it's the ticket! I'm glad I got the Targa.
