What the heck is this and is t original?

Any idea what this is?

It is on a 1970T on the drivers inner fender with a hose that runs near the battery box. Maybe for air horns?

That's what I was thinking. Would it be original or an aftermarket piece?

basically, you have asked and the answer is, it is not an original part for Porsche 911 even in Italy or anywhere else;-)

Hehe.

I had a Fiamm 2 trumpet air horn set up on my Fiat 128 back in the day. Had a longer length of hose to one trumpet than the other after the Y connection. It sounded like a sick donkey...... EEEEEEE-ONNNNNKKKKK!

I think they were actually available from the factory. Stebel is a well known horn manuf. and has made horns for Porsche as well.

yes its an air compressor for two tone horns, the musical ones has four to six outlets/hoses (Depending on notes) I had a set up on my MGC-GT that played Bridge over River Kwai (Col Bogey March)..

The yellow cap is for some very thin oil for the compressor
