Targa Bar Install - Hardware Question

Howdy all,
I'm getting ready to reinstall the outer targa bar cover on my 82. I bought the car partially in pieces as it had been painted and never been reassembled, so I didn't have the experience of taking it off.

What I need to know is if there is a spacer of some kind that goes on the 4 studs that attach the bar to the body, between the bottom of the bar and the seat on the body that it sits on? I tried talking to Pelican and called my local dealer and cannot find any information.

Does anyone have a picture of all the hardware for the 4 studs they could post?
Many thanks!
Steve

Hi, read my post no. 69 in this thread (which may have other useful information for you): Targa Rear Window Removal -- Observations and Questions.

Good luck!

That is TOTALLY what I was looking for and could not find! Thank you so much! How long did it take you to get the correct shimming, and when you tighten the nuts down, did the compress the nylon washers at all?
Again, thank you!!

It didn't take long to figure the shimming out. The key is that when secured, the targa bar cover does not dig in to the body or the trim it's adjacent to. Use masking tape, etc., to protect things as you test fit. Hope this helps.
