Window Problem 85 Cab
Hi,
I have a 1985 cabrio. A few weeks ago, went to put the electric window down. Heard the motor running but window didn't go down at first, but then started to slowly settle. Prior to this was working fine- have had no accidents. Only thing is weather is a little colder. Inspection shows window has come out of the lower holder. Anyway, I've now gotten really good at taking the door panel off, adjusting the window height and tilt; I replaced the regulator and bottom window holder thingy. The window works great when I'm finished, I test it several times and no problem. But get in a day later and go to put the window down and problem recurs. Done this several times now. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? Charles

hi..i assume your window came out the metal rail....Did you notice that the rail could be rusty?
How did you put it back into the rail and the rubber on the bottom too? If the rail is old and worn out it will not hold the glass in tight...that could be your problem.. Ivan this one ![]()
