Alternator Ground strap, can I re-use it?
My alternator ground strap is a bit beat up, and I'm wondering if I should re-use it or replace it??
Will it make a difference?? Do these wear out?? thanks |

When in doubt, replace.

Bad grounds can cause a plethora of electrical problems. Replace it.

a proper sized strap is better than wire for grounds.. most marine parts suppliers have small straps.. and solder the lugs w/proper solder, or get a new dealer part.
