Smile or no smile? Iroc front bumper..

Should be getting my new bumpers next week. These are for turbo flares.. Ive seen a few guys use the rubber "smile" and some not.. I think it looks fine both ways, just wondering if there is a reason other than the look for using the smile. Thanks!

I have been considering the 964 smile. More subtle than the earlier one. Not "period correct" but looks good on an IROC hot rod I think. Just my 2 cents.

I have a set of glass bumpers to put on and will use a 964 smile....I've noticed that the glass, even from high end providers (EBS) seems to be uneven when mounted...the smile keeps things straighter....I think it looks better too.

The 964 smile really finishes it off great. I ran with no smile a while and think the 964 smile finishes it off like factory would/should have.

No smile. Looks better and correct for IROC bumper. Use fender welt between bumper and fenders.
I'll post pic's tomorrow.

Exactly. Fender welding both front and rear. I have my wide body bumpers mounted without any trim and even though I spent a fair amount of time trying to get everything to fit perfectly, it still needs trim to fill in some very minor imperfections.
