Speedo problem

Hi everyone!

Just noticed a new little problem with my speedo. From a standing start it will read 0 until around 30/40. It’ll then shoot uo to the speed and read normally after that. Only happens from a standing start. Once it’s started reading it’ll read in the lower region normally. Any ideas?

Thanks and a happy new year to all

Year and model of your car would be very helpful. Better yet, create a signature with that info. Some speedos are mechanically driven, others are electrical.
