window crank just failed
The pivot pin on my manual windows just broke. Is there a replacement available or do I have to replace the whole regulator?

Replacement pivot pins are available from several sources (Pelican, I suspect as well). Select the pin that has the slot in the right configuration. Does somebody have pictures of the pin options? (check the Pelican catalog). Pick the one that matches yours. Left and right side door windows may be different.
The factory pins are lead, potmetal or somesuch. The replacement pins are made of steel. It's not too difficult to replace. See if Wayne has it in his 101 book. You're fortunate they lasted this long. Sherwood Lee http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars |
