Fresh air blower harness socket part #

Hi, anyone got a part # (and ideally, another source if our host doesn't carry it) for the socket on the end of the harness to the fresh air blower/squirrel cage in the frunk?

Mine's mostly disappeared. Same family as the power seats or the engine bay plug/socket, but a 4-pin variant, can't seem to find it in PET...

The Only “kit” available to get the correct 4 terminal housing and cover (with just 3 new terminals included in the kit) is sold as for the fuel tank sender. Not inexpensive either....
(just reuse one of the terminals you take out of the old connector).
Part number is 901 612 891 00
Google it for pics.

The 86 and 89 Carrera PETs have electrical part connectors listed. Sorry but I'm not sure of your connector style.

Awesome, thanks!

I noticed in 2006 that the top cover had evaporated, so I wrapped it up in parcel tape to hold the connectors in/"protect" the naked terminals.

Remembered that I never touched it again. Figure it's past time to do it right...

Ahh, the penny drops - thank you! I knew I'd seen that somewhere before, but went all the way through the older PET looking for the connectors page and just. couldn't. find. one....

I'm in the same boat. Glad you posted this and found a source for the plug!

But, here's the problem - With or without the replacement socket we need to figure out how the wires should be plugged back in.

White w/Green - Speed I
White w/Yellow - Speed II
White - Speed III
Black - Power from fuse #12

The blower unfortunately is not very clearly marked. One pin is marked 8005 another 8006 and a K between the other two. None of these markings are found on the klemmenbezeichnungen DIN legend...

I have the factory manual.

Can you please provide the wire colors?

I pulled the blower and with a flashlight I can see the inside of the plug. There are two resistive coils and only two wires going to the motor. So, I'm guessing you have power and three grounds coming from the dash switch. Two of the grounds go through resistive coils to slow down the fan.

I could not see enough detail to figure out what pins are connected to what...

Wires come in from bottom. Looking into connector with top cover removed.
I do a lot of these as they are often messed up on the dash harness.

Dennis & Gerry - you guys rock!

My wires weren't disturbed in the plug (yay, parcel tape!). So I cut it back to see if it would help out - then didn't post as I noted wiring on the '77 is different, not only colors; red with a white stripe where white/yellow above, red with a black ring where it shows white above, and red with a green stripe where white/green above - but also only 3 connectors wired:

So apparently no fused 12V on the black wire in the 4th hole. Yet, the (single) dash lever gives the expected increase in rattling noises - sorry, fan speed - at positions 1, 2, 3.

Presumably the dash control is wired differently on the earlier cars?

Spuggy
These photos are from my 1977 factory manual.

The first one shows the wiring to the fresh air blower under the cowl.

Based on the colors and number of wires, You apparently have the A/C connector in your photo.
(Next 2 photos of schematics for ‘77 A/C)

I was able to track down a used plug, but the clocking pin and wire entrance is opposite of what I expected.
