FWIW, I only bumped Esther by accident. :D Really!

This is what happend when you get an overcompetetive husband and wife on the track at the same time.

"Hmmm, sleep in the garage vs. genltly guide the wife's cart off line.."

Gents,
There was a tech session at Ruther's yesterday. Hope you don't mind but I threw a few more invitations out.

Ray 911s 03-24-2003 06:11 AM

Great! Sorry to have to ask, but is Ruther's the same as Northstar? How'd it go?

cstreit 03-24-2003 06:30 AM

Ray, yes. John Ruther owns Northstar. Good guy, very friendly, nice cars!

MotoSook 03-24-2003 06:37 AM

The more the merrier...perhaps with all of us wishing for good weather, the weather outlook will improve. Snow on Saturday! Is this the Cali guys' way of keeping the fun to themselves?

jphillips-998 03-24-2003 06:45 AM

Northstar was a GREAT turnout. The weather played a major role I'm sure. Sparco representatives were there showing their wares. Ruther's famous 10% off sale made him some pretty good money. Racing suits (me) and helmets were flying off the shelves.

Motorwerks provided two Pepper's for test drives. Most people thought they were pretty nice. My concern was their towability. I know they have a 7,700 lb capability, but seemed to have a fairly short wheelbase. To my surprise, the Pepper is actually 1 inch longer that the Range Rover (I am assuming the old style).

jphillips-998 03-24-2003 10:11 AM

Souk, what time are you planning on getting us out to your place?

MotoSook 03-24-2003 10:13 AM

Jeff, I think between 7:30 and 8 AM is the goal. Since there will be some who will need to get home for afternoon commitments, we want to get on the route early, 8AM. I will leave printed instructions for the late comers if they should miss the parade (and they don't get donuts or homemade cookies!)

Turbodrvn 03-24-2003 08:53 PM

hey guys..........just got back home from South Carolina...........wow!! is it beautiful down there.........saw a sweeeeet yellow '76 911 .....clean and perfect!!! We were down there for 4 days!

Looking forward to this Saturday the 29th!!

MotoSook 03-27-2003 07:14 AM

UPDATE:

ALTHOUGH THE FORECAST SEEMS TO BE IMPROVING FOR THIS SATURDAY, I WANT EVERYONE TO BE READY FOR A LAST MINUTE CANCELATION. PLEASE PASS THE WORD AROUND AS I KNOW THERE ARE SOME FOLKS WHO ARE NOT SCREEN JUNKIES LIKE MYSELF.

One last thing...you California guys suck! :D :D Give us a break and send some good weather our way!

jphillips-998 03-28-2003 06:42 AM

Tell me about it Souk! I flew into Minneapolis yesterday. Not as bad as predicted but they still got 4" of snow. I am very questionable for tomorrow....have some brake work to do that might interfere with the drive.

MotoSook 03-28-2003 07:40 AM

Well, it won't be raining or snowing, but it will be cooler than I would like.

This is the Saturday forecast for the area.

Jeff, if you have heat :) and a brakes, you must come.

It's about time this thread took on a "Chicago" flair! Babes, bars and Bud...come on summer!

KTL 03-28-2003 11:12 AM

I get the first shot at the chubby one who looks like she's wasted (easy target). :p

Who wants me to bring my sister?

MotoSook 03-28-2003 01:44 PM

Ahh, Kevin, the "taking one for the team" trick...works everytime... :D

Jeff, a little Lincoln Park action on the drive would be nice...can you (or anyone) bring some Trixies to keep the single guys warm? :)

(Ok lets see how long before we get OT'd :)

Man I hope my lady doesn't read this thread.
