I have both a 71 E and 71 S. When the S hits 5k its just so much fun, but the E is not that far behind in terms of performance. I will have a look in the E handbook later today.

old thread but a 2.2E MFI stroked to a high-comp 2.4E rebuild with all else unchanged was dyno'd on Thursday. CR was 9.1:1. Torque was 160lb/ft from 3,700RPM almost horizontal to a 165 peak, dropping off above 6200rpm. Hp peaked at 192+hp, at 6,400rpm. On a dynomite, SAE. will post data later. Sweet!

Engine built by Mark Burkit at Specialty Cars, Allentown, PA
flywheel SAE. this was the first run, the best run was 192.5hp. Overall, not bad for an E and a mere 2.4. ![]() ![]() was told that the bump below 4K is the load coming on.
