The data in the CD-type disc decodes easily into ASCII computer text as follows, using 8 bit binary:
*
"Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts & their BROKEN PROMISES. Much PAIN but still time. (Damaged Word). There is GOOD out there. We OPpose DECEPTION. Conduit CLOSING (BELL SOUND)”
*
The damaged word would appear to be intended as “BELIEVE”.

Stock SC's did not have SSI's installed, they had a very restrictive set up with a cat converter.

I would be interested in how well they fit, and who is the maker?

Bob, The maker is SSI, (Stainless Systems Inc.), made in U.S.A., they fit perfectly. Check any recent issue of Excellence magazine for their ad. Pelican sells them for a competitive price.

Double check that each flange surface is flat. I have dual in dual out SSI's on my 79SC. One flange on the mating surface to the muffler was slightly angled at the bolt hole. After mounting it, there was a slight exhaust leak that required a thicker gasket, and the bolt had to be tightened an extra amount. Use a straight edge to measure each flange surface. If it is not true, have it machined before you install it.

This is a move you will never regret....In fact I'll venture to say that you'll be silently kicking yourself as to why you waited so long in the first place....!!!!!

Enjoy the difference...you deserve it!!!!!
