No fog light valence
Our host sells a front valence with no fog light openings. I'd like to run it on my 1984 3.2 but our host says it cannot confirm that it fits an '84. A fellow Pelican told me it's for an SC but should fit a 3.2. Can anyone confirm this part will fit an '84 3.2, or suggest a non-fog light alternative? Don't need an oil cooler opening, brake ducts, etc. Just a stock valance without fog lights. Many thanks

Guys - part in question is 911-503-971-01-GRV-OEM. I googled the part # too and one site says it'll fit 79-83 and another says 84-89. I bought it here to do a fog light delete on my car but have decided not to so never took it out of the box or tried to fit it.
I don't want to give false info on the part so if anyone knows for sure if it'll fit 84-89, please chime in. I figured it would easily fit my 89 since the chassis shouldn't have changed between those from what I can tell but I'm no expert!

I have one with that part number I am going to put on my SC. I haven't done it yet but it looks like it attaches the same way the SC valance does.
I think the only G-body valance that is different is for the turbo because it takes a different chin spoiler so its a little shorter.

My only question is if it affects the airflow to the oil cooler. The passenger side of the bumper is bent up on the bottom to allow airflow to the cooler. I'm wondering if there is a corresponding difference at the top of the valance. I think the only way to tell is to look carefully at both an SC and a Carrera and see if there is a difference.

I put one on our ‘86 with no problems and it runs just fine temp wise.

Didn’t someone make a valence with the RUF Yellowbird type grill opening? It should cool well while still providing the protection of the factory front bumper.

I believe the valance will fit all SC's & Carreras. To utilize the stalk mounted fog lights you have to drill two holes for the bolts and another for the wire. Easy-peasy. The flush mounted fogs on the later cars need a big cut out. Easy, but not so peasy.
