G50 clutch fork - what lube?
What type of lube do you use in the indent for the slave cyclinder? I’ve got the extreme pressure grease for the shaft. Thanks.

And while I’m at it, what do you think about the wear on this cross shaft for the fork? Feels smooth, I was inclined to reuse.

Is the cross shaft on roller bearings or bushings? (Hard to tell but I think it might be bushings.)
If it is roller bearings any visible wear is bad. The wear on the top end of the shaft would immediately reject it. If it is a bushing I'd be inclined to replace it but the bushings are much more forgiving. For the pushrod cup you want a grease that won't move. My go to grease for something like that is Bosch distributor grease. I think it is NLA but you can probably find it at a VW shop. The stuff stays thick at temperature and seems somewhat 'fibrous' so it stays at the point of pressure.

Ok thanks - the shaft is on copper bushings, not rollers.

Shaft looks worn undersize on one side, which will angle the fork and possibly cause clutch chatter. Your bushings are probably worn also. I wouldn't use it. A dab of optimoly in the pushrod hole.

TSBs 8805 and 8902 recommend Olista Longtime 3 EP grease part number 000-043-024-00, some sites list this grease as Optimol High Pressure Grease.

Ok thanks guys. I already have the Olista, I was going to use that for the shaft. You’re saying use that for the slave cylinder indent as well?
