Mcmaster sells jig saw blades intended for plastics, they clear the chips without melting the cut edge. Worth every penny.

When acrylic shatters there are sharp points/edges. Not with polycarbonite/lexan. https://coloradoplastics.com/polycarbonate-lexan-vs-acrylic-lucite/
We used alot of lexan with a HS robotics team. Cut with bandsaw, belt sanded edges. Router or fast drilling will generate heat, edges melt rather than cut.
