AFR Logging Options...

Several years ago I was attracted to the 14point7 iDash logger w/ Bosch LSU 4.9 Wideband O2 sensor. I still run the stock narrow band sensor for my CIS system with a separate bung for the LSU 4.9. The iDash has always been a PIA to use - it creates a wifi hot spot and you connect to it and open a web page. It sometimes worked, sometimes (more often) not. The product looks to be retired now with no updates.

Since I already have the LSU 4.9 installed and cable routed to my passenger seat, I'm looking for options for logging AFR data or if that is still a PIA, then I would consider a dedicated gauge. I've searched here and taken a look at a couple of web sites but it isn't clear that the state of the art has advanced much in this space. What I'd ideally like is a logger with blue tooth and an iPhone app to display and capture the AFR data. That way I don't have to deal with mounting a gauge in my otherwise stock 83 SC Cabriolet.

The closest thing I've found is the PLX MultiGauge Link Adapter with their Wideband AFR box. It apparently connects to an iPhone app via bluetooth. But there is very little real-world user feedback on how well it actually works and the Apple Store has a review from May 13 that the latest update "ruined this application" due to bugs introduced in a re-write to support the SM-Pro that came out recently. Not a swimming endorsement.

TIA,
Michael

Old thread dredger here...where you able to find a satisfactory solution? I want to add afr to my SC but would rather not mount another gauge.

Thanks

^^^ don't add another gauge just lose the clock...like who doesn't know what the time is today...your stereo tells you, your IPhone, your watch........you can always go back to stock.
The key to the AFR is real time knowing what is going on.

It’s not a bad way to go, but I already ditched the clock for a big oil pressure warning light. This is a streetable track car. My 930 has AFR gauge where the clock was. I don’t love the look and getting a Porsche gauge look with AFR functionality can be spendy. A Bluetooth to smartphone solution was interesting because it gives on demand usability and is aesthetically neutral.
