Maybe for you. I can get Liqui-Moly here but it costs more than the Brad Penn I can get. Others are more expensive.

Also, FWIW, when I had my top end redone, my mechanic originally put in Total 20W-50 Syn in the car.

I had a lower oil pressure and a VERY high oil consumption. I discussed with him and we agreed to try BP. Pressures were normal (about 10 psi/1000 rpm) and my oil consumption drastically improved.

I've been drinking the Brad Penn koolaid myself for 12 years.

Much better way to go with these older engines? Liqui Moly 20W-50

My 3.2 at 107k miles never felt so smooth with "Liqui Moly 20W-50 Touring High Tech Motor Oil: - Tossed in 2 cans of Liqui Moly Anti-Friction Engine Treatment (shake the cans before putting in the oil)
Just, smooth as silk.... Make the change; you will not regret it.

Only issue is you have a hard time buying them in quarts!

My FLAPS carries LiquiMoly and I switched to it a few years back. Seems to work well with no drama.

Liqui Moly states that their "Touring High Tech 20w50" and their "Formula Super 15w40" both come with a ZDDP content of about 1200 ppm.
