CAT flanges not on Fabspeed bypass?

Well getting my CAT off was a good challenge.
Now I see the CAT has flanges which stick out for the muffler, the heat exchanger and the bypass too. Do you guys get flanges for the fabspeed stainless or just go with new gaskets when installing.

Just put gaskets in, they come in the top end gasket set.

Mike, i'm not sure i follow what you are asking. Does your Fabspeed cat bypass not bolt up to your heat exhhanger and crossover pipe because it doesnt have the same flange?

The gaskets are available from our host and most auto parts retailers too if you don't want to wait for shipping.

OEM catalytic converter has gasket protectors that extend a few mm beyond the flanges and mate with the corresponding heat exchanger outlet and muffler inlet flanges. These gasket protectors are missing from aftermarket pre mufflers and bypass pipes. We had them on our products when first produced but removed them from the spec so that the customer can use any final muffler they choose as most aftermarket mufflers don't typically have receptacles for the gasket protectors.
It is important to flow that the mating flanges are aligned properly. Take the time to snug up the bolts then adjust the flange alignment and tighten up the nuts/bolts. This includes the gaskets as well, make sure they are centered.

My pleasure, this is an often overlooked detail.
Here is a close-up of the inlet flange gasket protectors on an OEM 911 catalytic converter. The gaskets sit on these (gasket protector) lips which aligns them perfectly in the bore. The lips also extend into the heat exchangers aligning the flange bores as well. In the absence of gasket protectors it is important to align both the flanges and gasket manually for optimal flow.

I ended up using standard gaskets and some muffle goop when I purchased this product in maybe 2009. The (my) crossover face was not that pretty and it did the trick.

Still attached and no leaks.
