Hi there,
Due to a little corrosion, I want to renew the outer springplate covers. Can I change them without disturbing rear wheel alignment and vehicle ride height? #29 Thanks, Kees.

Not unless you have a lot of self control. Once you take off the cover you might find that the bushings look a little worn and then you'll want to do the swing arm bushings....
I started with a simple front brake rebuild, then I did the rears, then the master cylinder. Now I have replaced the the rear wheel bearings, new a-arm bushings, new spring plate bushings. Since I had a '73 with non-adjustable spring plates, I just had to get some used adjustable ones. And while I am there, I might as well upgrade the torsion bars.... Good luck. The Pelican part number is A-333-153-00 and they are a bargain at $14.95. I bought those too :-)
