173,400 on the car and 116,00 on the 3.2. Runs great, burns 1 quart every 2,000 miles and likes to get up in the mid 6,000's
No major work that I'm aware of.

1982 911SC with 166k miles - Engine still runs great and has never been worked on - unless you consider tensioner upgrades engine work.

120,000 miles
No engine work
No Smoke (on startup or any other time)
Healthy/acceptable leakdown and compression test rusults
Uses 1L of oil per 1000K's which is supposedly normal

75 911s 2.7
45,000 miles some paid to have much work done to the engine in 86, tensioners, time serts, about $4500 of receipts for that work. runs good, no leaks, no smoke except a little white for about 4 seconds on start up if sitting for week otherwise no smoke. goes to red line very strong and keeps puling in all gears. body and interior are not great but it is a lot of fun to drive. very solid which leads me to believe the speedometer.

Yes. Being a 2.7 it was rebuilt by PO in the 50k range.

And apparantly rebuilt right since I am close to 200k on the rebuild. And a fair number of track miles to boot.

It has all the right updates - external oil cooler, backdated exhaust, deleted air pump, hydraulic tensioners, pop valve, and I assume timecerts.

Still a very strong running 2.7. Doesn't burn much oil. I think this car will run forever.

At only 95k miles my car is a baby compared to this group. Hopefully I'll hit 150k+ one day.

Wow, everyone has such low miles on their cars...don't you drive them!?!?!

260,000 on my '84 Carrera. Valve work done at around 100k (po), but since then no engine or trans work. Compression great, burns almost no oil, a couple oil drips (which I'm working on now).

Mine had 41K when I got it in August '02. Now it has 50K. I'm trying to make up for lost time/miles

Thanks, I've heard that a lot.
I thought it was a color worth preserving amongst the sea of silver, black and red.

That color is great.

Purchased my car with 135k 3.4 years ago. Had the valves done, new rings and bearings last year at 182k. Now has 201k. You guys don't drive your cars much, eh? Why? I'm about to start a new job with probably a 140-mile total commute. And a citation, but that's for another thread. I'm looking forward to all that driving. I look forward to going to the grocery store. You guys just wouldn't believe the mileage I plan to put on this car, so I won't even say. Happy motoring!

78 SC 180,000 miles. Re-built tranny at 160,000 by PO, no major engine work, just upgrades. Burns a quart of oil every 300-500 miles, but runs great.

86 CAB 88,000 miles, just routine maintenance. No oil drinking with this one.
