1-Man Load Checker/Corner Balancing

I do not know if this has been addressed but, to my recollection, the use of a load checker is a 2-man task: 1 to watch the gauge and another to push the lever down.

I was able to do this by myself. First I punch a hole in a manila paper. I then inserted a rubber band into the hole and tied the other end of the rubber band into something heavy (e.g., jack, jack pad, etc.). Laying the cardboard on the floor, I then rolled/pushed the car onto the cardboard. Next, I moved the weight (jackpad) away (i.e., to create tension or pull).

Installed the load checker, inserted the rod, and then "rode" the lever. While sitting, I gradually let my weight down and concurrently watching the gauge. Once the paper snaps out from underneath the wheel, that confirms my weight.

Hope this helps. And if this has been posted previously, please disregard this post.
