Brake/Parking Light Poll

Brake/Parking Light does not work. Now I notice the PO disabled this feature by pushing all seven contacts in the rectangular light plug (to which the light unit in the dash is plugged) so that they do not make contact with the light unit. I am in a position where I can (perhaps, likely) reassemble this in a way that makes the light work (and perhaps the buzzer). Or....I could reassemble it in modified condition so those dash lights do not work. I do not favor having a seat belt buzzer, but a light showing whether the park brake is on might be helpful. Ergo, the poll.

Bear in mind, if you say No Superman, you should enable this system....the 'system' may need further work such as making the brake pad sensors (I'm pretty sure my car does not have these) and the park brake position switch.

It's your car, do whatever makes you happy. Not sure what year you have, but it shouldn't be too hard to make the parking brake warning light work independently from the seat belt system.

repurpose the parking brake light as a radar detector signal

the V1 remote module can be made to fit on that spot

What is your goal with the car? Do you want the designed systems to work properly or not?

Just another blurb about the brake light. On my 77 per the factory wiring diagram and testing, my Brake Warning Light is also tied to the idiot light. If pressure drops too low it will also illuminate the brake light.
