No start

Have a riddle of sorts. 912 chassis with 86 3.2. Rolled from Scottsdale last Tuesday. Got to Parker, turned the car off then turned off my lights. Filled it with gas, made a call then tried to start it. Nothing. No lights, no dash, no start. Took the ground strap off, cleaned a bit and reinstalled. Started right up and has run great ever since. Until tonight.

Drove about 10 miles, lights on. Running great, turned a corner total electric failure, except overhead door light works. removed ground strap as before, completely this time, nothing but door light. Have power in the battery. Just no dash, no headlights, no start

A shop did some work on the ignition to help a hesitating starting issue

Thoughts?

Check the 6 pin plugs under the dash are all fully seated. Especially the ignition plug.

quick update and thanks to all who provided input.

Fried the buss on the back of the top fuse box. 1969 912 has two 8 fuse boxes mounted on the front fender. Shop did a temp fix they thought would hold, but for added peace of mind I had them install the Refuze boxes.
